Grease Flow Dropping Point

Sep 03, 2021

Because the grease contains different soap relationships, different greases will melt at different temperatures. The dripping point is the temperature at which the grease changes from semi-solid to liquid; most calcium soap grease melts at 160-210°F, sodium soap grease is 350-350°F, lithium soap grease is 350-400°F, so at high temperatures It is better to use sodium soap or lithium soap. Nowadays, the speed of most printing machines is quite high. Because the rotation speed of the motor bearing is higher, the bearing temperature also increases accordingly. Choosing a grease with a higher drop point can make high-speed motor bearings such as "carbon pumps". "Bearings, etc. have better protection.
